Colleagues from the Maunders Funeral Service, Drakes of Torbay Funeral Service and Torbay & District Funeral Service, participated in a charity bowling event coordinated by their local radio station, Palm 105.5fm (pictured below). The aim of the evening was to raise funds to support the vital services provided by the RNLI based at Torbay, Teignmouth and Dartmouth. The radio station chose the RNLI as their charity and hope to raise £9,000 throughout this year. The RNLI not only provide 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue, but a lifeguard service, safety advice and flood rescue.
Elaine Harrison, Funeral Director of Torbay & District Funeral Service, said: “It was great fun as various companies entered their teams of six to enjoy two games of bowling and to raise over £700 was an excellent result.”
