Quinn’s Funeral Directors regularly offer support to, and attend local events. On 18th May tea, coffee and a raffle prize were donated to the St Hildeburgh’s Church coffee morning. Office Manager Tina Morris helped further by making four dozen cupcakes. Over £1400 was raised which will go towards various church projects.
Sometimes time is the best gift someone can give. Tina Morris attended the Friends of Hoylake & Meols in Bloom annual fundraising garden party on the 15th June. The group is made up of local volunteers who have transformed the local area. Last year Hoylake & Meols took part in the North West in Bloom Costal Resort and received the ‘Best Newcomer Award’ as well as the ‘Silver Gilt Award’.
The event raised £2589.00 in four hours which is enough to cover the cost of the new plants for 2020 and fundraising is on-going to ensure the local community continues to flourish. There were drinks and cakes on arrival, local musicians/artists, fabulous raffle prizes and a few stalls including a plant bring and buy stall.
On the 12th July Tina provided a raffle prize of Tea for two at the Atrium, a restaurant within the local garden centre at Carr Farm to help raise funds for Emily’s American Operation, Emily has Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy. Just 4 Children are a charity providing support for families to help their sick and disabled children and are trying to raise £45,000 for Emily to have life enhancing surgery in the United States.
On Saturday 20th July 2019, Fairfield Nursing Home held their annual Summer Fair, Quinns have always donated a prize and this year was no exception.
