To mark the 99th anniversary of the end of World War One, Funeral Administrator/Arranger Sherry Kane, Masonry Support Linda Gibbs and her eight-year-old granddaughter Ruby Lee, created an extraordinary window display.
Sherry and Linda built their show stopper poppy man out of a dressmaking mannequin and chicken wire, and covered him in more than 600 tissue paper poppies, which Linda and Ruby Lee made together.
Sherry said: “We had a lot of admirers stop with some taking pictures of him. The rest of the display built up over several weeks to include model planes and other props in the window.
“We are hoping to keep the frame for the 100th anniversary and hope to have an even more impressive window display for this historic milestone.”
