A rose bush is to be planted in the Huntleys Funeral Services memorial garden in Redditch in memory of Marlene Elwell.
Her name was chosen in a prize draw after her son Darren entered a Mother’s Day competition in our branch.
The competition, organised by Funeral Arrangers Chris O’Brien and Paula Cook, attracted more than two dozen entries.
Chris said: “Our winner was delighted to have been chosen and we’re now arranging for him to come and plant the rose bush with a name plaque in his mum’s honour.”
Runner-up in the competition was Mollie Esme Briney, mother of Julie Briney. Mollie won a box of cup-cakes donated by Deborah Guest Cakes in Redditch.
