The team from F. Curtis and Son have been supporting the homeless charity SHELTER by collecting unwanted clean blankets, duvets, sheets, pillows and sleeping bags at the Warminster branch.
Since their appeal began they have continually been receiving donations from the local community.
The team said: “I cannot believe the incredible generosity of our community. The number of homeless people in Warminster has dramatically increased over the last year, and although we can’t stop the homeless crisis globally, we can certainly act locally.
“This time of year is incredibly difficult for the homeless and this is going to make such a difference to their lives during the winter, which is sadly only going to get colder.
“We hope that the donations keep coming as I know how much items like these help SHELTER to keep providing the vital care and support to our homeless community.”
The team’s efforts do not stop there. They have organised a 12-hour fundraising ‘sleep-out’ on the 25th January 2019, which will be held in the Warminster branch’s car park between 6pm and 6am.
The team will continue to collect items for SHELTER whilst raising awareness for the charity and money for their local church, St John’s Church, Warminster.
