The team at Kavanagh & Coates Funeral Services collected toys for families with children who would otherwise not be able to afford them.
In conjunction with other local collections and with the support of the local radio station a village hall was filled with gifts and families who qualified for support were invited to pick a present for their children.
The team also sponsored and attended an Elvis night in aid of the Crusader Project Christmas 2018 which aims to raise funds for local families who need a little helping hand.
The event raised over £600 which was used to purchase gifts for children who might otherwise not receive anything at Christmas.
Thank you has to go to the team for all their hard work, everyone involved in raising awareness of the campaign and especially to all those who donated.
As well as toys the team at Kavanagh & Coates Funeral Services were also busy collecting Christmas crackers to give to local families.
The team collected a sizable number which were added to the 150 hampers provided by the Heywood Foodbank which is run by the St Vincent de Paul Society.
