Funeral Arranger Emma Gibbons from our Alcester branch hosted a successful fundraising coffee morning in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
Raffle prizes which included prosecco and toiletry sets were generously donated by local business’s in Alcester, and the star prize of a bungee jump gift experience was donated by Red Letter Days. Those of you who are fans will also spot the ’Mrs Hinch’ inspired cleaning hamper which was Emma’s contribution to the raffle.
Local cake makers donated cakes for the event, and Emma also received a £30 gift voucher from the Blakemore Foundation (which owns 280 Spar stores nationwide) which was used to buy tea, coffee, sugar, crisps and juice.
Approximately 40 people attended throughout the afternoon which is a fantastic turnout.
Emma said: “I decided to join in with the Breast Cancer Care afternoon tea as my daughter’s nan sadly passed away very young with breast cancer – so it was a way to remember her and help the many women out there currently suffering
I am extremely grateful to the whole community in Alcester who took part in one way or another either by attending or donating prizes.”
In addition to this event Emma also have lots of nearly new books in branch for a donation and all funds will be added to the final amount raised. The total currently stands at £118.75.
Emma is currently in the early planning stages of “ Dine in for Dementia”- which involves holding a dinner party in support of Dementia UK.
