Swimathon raises money for cancer charities

Wendy Tolley, Funeral Arranger at Roy Quinton, took part in a Swimathon to raise funds for Marie Curie and Cancer Research UK.

Wendy swam a total of 800m and raised £120 which will be split between the two charities.

Marie Curie provides palliative and end of life care and support for people living with a terminal illness and their families.
Cancer Research UK funds scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner.

Wendy says: “Being part of a charity event that is funding such great causes was such a great feeling. To raise over £100 was such an achievement and I hope to get involved in more events like this in the future.”
