Street party celebrations

Funeral Arranger Beryl Roberts helped organise a celebratory lunch for the elderly and people with special needs at Commonside Community Centre to commemorate the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

As Beryl visits the centre weekly she has a good relationship with the staff and community and was able to help organise the event with good knowledge of what local residents enjoy.

She organised a sing along to “The Candy Girls” and bought balloons, flowers, decorative table ornaments, red, white and blue bunting.

She said: “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed tucking into sandwiches and cakes, the weather was great, and everyone came together to make sure the day ran smoothly. It was a wonderful day.”
