E Sargeant’s Easter Egg Mountain

Maidenhead’s Funeral Arranger/Administrator Alison Moys organised an incredible collection of Easter eggs for Foodshare, a charity providing food and help for people in and around Maidenhead who cannot afford to feed themselves properly.

Alison sent out posters to the local community and had an amazing response with over 200 chocolate eggs being donated from Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor, Nationwide crash repair in Slough, St Luke’s Church in Maidenhead, St Michael’s Church in Bray, Holy Trinity Church in Cookham and other people who bought them in independently.

Alison said: “I was overwhelmed by the generous donations from our community. It just shows that you really can make a difference when you come together. We are hoping to do the same next year, and hoping it will be as successful, if not even better.”

Lester Tanner, Trustee at Foodshare Maidenhead, said: “It was a terrific collection of Easter eggs that Alison organised for Foodshare.

“Over Easter we were able to give eggs not just to the children within the families we support, but to everyone, including those who collect food bags from satellite pick-up points.

“It’s good to be able to give the people we see at the foodbank something of a little treat. Thank you very much for helping Foodshare, it is really appreciated.”
